YOU ARE NOT WORTHLESS

Worthlessness is a state of being unimportant and useless. It’s a feeling one has that he/she is lacking in value, not being useful or important in any way, unappreciated, feeling insignificant, useless, have nothing of value to offer to the world, good for nothing. In other words, you have a sinking self worth and you absolutely hate yourself.

Why do you feel worthless? Maybe your parents or teachers constantly told you that you are. Maybe something tragic happened to you like molestation or rape that took away all your self worth. It could be that you do not feel beautiful and you avoid looking in the mirror because you believe you will not like what you see. Maybe you do not feel bright enough, your performance in school was probably not the best and you do not feel bright enough, you actually believe that you are a fool. You yearn to be anyone but yourself, to be someone else. You have spoken vicious words to yourself and because of your shaky self worth, you do not treat yourself well. You feel defective and defeated, you wallow in mud everyday because you believe this is where you belong.

You are not this horrible and worthless person that you have created in your mind. If you feel that you are then I am here to inform you that you are not worthless. You are a child of the Most High God. Fearfully and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God. You are a person of value and you are loved. No one is unlovable and that includes you. 

Jesus has given you value and because of him you are a person of worth. No matter how unworthy you think you are, you are valuable. You are precious in the eyes of God and he loves you unconditionally. The bible says that how great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God. 

You are a child of God and no child of God can be worthless, it can never happen. The worth of the Father is more than that of diamond or gold. The same God who made diamond and gold made you and he gave you more value than these two precious stones.  He calls you more than a conqueror, a victor and royalty. Royalty has to do with kingship. If you are the child of a king, then you are more than what you think you are. You command honour and respect, not from your own self, but from the value he gives you.

Do not condemn yourself

The bible says that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus because through Jesus Christ the law of the spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death

No matter how many mistakes you have made, no matter how unworthy you think you are, he still loves you. If you’ve ever doubted your own worth, listen to the Father telling  you, “You are important enough to Me to justify the death of My Son. I want to have a close and intimate relationship with you.”
